Wool

THERE IS NO MAN-MADE FABRIC THAT CAN DUPLICATE THE INCREDIBLE PROPERTIES OF WOOL. Wool acts as a natural thermostat and has the ability to keep body temperatures evenly regulated. It has the ability to wick moisture away from you in muggy weather. A single fiber can absorb 30% of its weight in body vapor thus cooling you down.

Wool is a natural insulator. Air spaces between the fibers trap body heat and circulate warm air next to your body. Properly layered, you will be warm in cold outdoor conditions. Wool’s low static fibers resist dust and staining, and its natural lanolin oil resists liquid. YOU’LL FIND WOOLENS ON MOST OUTFITTERS “TO BRING” LIST!

With the invention of nylon and its incorporation into clothing the 85% wool, 15% nylon blend I use makes outdoor clothing that will last. Nylon adds strength, softness and durability to our garments. Washing will substantially breakdown the fibers and cause the material to shrink. To ensure a long garment life all of our wool clothing should be professionally dry cleaned only.  With proper care a well maintained wool coat will last for generations and can be passed on to a future sportsman in your family.
